Live Doppler 13 Weather Blog: Tornadoes confirmed in Rush, Madison counties

The NWS confirmed two tornadoes from the storms on Wednesday.

INDIANAPOLIS — The National Weather Service confirmed two tornadoes from the storms on Wednesday.

Their survey teams were out on Thursday and found EF1 damage in western Rush County and EF0 damage in Summitville in Madison County. The EF1 had winds estimated at 100 mph and the tornado was on the ground for 9.6 miles.

The path of the tornado went from just ESE of Morristown to 3 miles north of Rushville.

The EF0 had winds estimated at 85 mph and did damage in Summitville and was on the ground for about 1/2 mile.
