INDIANAPOLIS — It is Thursday and there is a new drought monitor map to share.

Without any significant rain, it is no surprise that we have more areas abnormally dry and more areas in moderate drought conditions. Here is the latest map.

In Indianapolis, there have been 51 consecutive days with less than .10" of rain and this is a record that keeps growing. The previous record was 47 days from June 1-July 17, 2012. The last big rain was back on August 18. when .85" of rain fell.

There is a chance for a few showers from Hurricane Delta this weekend, but right now it is looking like the steadiest rain stays south.
