INDIANAPOLIS — It's quite a fall-like air mass covering central Indiana, leading to unseasonably cool nights and mild afternoons.
Lows Wednesday morning dropped into the 50s and even some 40s sprinkled in too. With similar conditions in place tonight, we expect another crisp start Thursday morning.
Thursday will be near carbon copy conditions with highs in the upper 70s and low clouds bubbling up during peak heating hours.
Friday morning could be our third straight day to start in the 50s, something that hasn't happened this early in August (1st-10th) since 2004. Either way, Friday remains refreshing but a bit warmer in the afternoon in the lower 80s.
The aforementioned dry air lingers into the start of the weekend, likely protecting the state from potential storm clusters erupting on approaching muggy air.
Saturday remains dry in the forecast with humid heat to finish the weekend with the possibility of scattered rain and/or storms.
