INDIANAPOLIS — It will be a clear and cold Friday night, with overnight temperatures near zero. Take precautions from the cold tonight. There is some good news this weekend, as we make it out of the deep freeze that has lasted 2 weeks.
There is a weak weather system that will bring a few clouds and maybe a few flurries early Saturday. Expect a mix of clouds and sun on Saturday afternoon, with highs in the middle 20s.

We finally go above freezing on Sunday afternoon. Forecast highs on Sunday are in the middle and upper 30s.

Our next chance for rain and snow arrives late Sunday afternoon and early evening. Some minor accumulations of sleet and snow will be possible north. This light wintry mix will last through early Monday.

The rest of next week looks much quieter and milder. We are forecasting highs near 40 on Monday and in the 40s Tuesday through Thursday. There is also some sunshine in the forecast Tuesday and Wednesday. The melting will be in full swing next week.
