INDIANAPOLIS — The heat is on, Indiana! The hottest temperatures of the year push in just in time for the holiday weekend. It will also be a long stretch of hot weather.
Hot and humid conditions continue again today with a few isolated thunderstorms developing. Afternoon highs will climb into the upper 80s with heat indices making it feel like the low 90s.
An area of high pressure will build into the Great Lakes area late tonight. It will be mostly clear with the wind shifting out of the northeast.
Overnight lows will fall into the upper 60s.
Thursday will be hot and hazy with highs in the upper 80s once again.
The dewpoint will actually dry out a bit, so it won’t be AS humid, but obviously still hot. The lower humidity will allow the dewpoints to drop a bit.
It should be a dry and quiet day.
A stretch of 90 degree plus temperatures will begin Friday. While humidity will be lower than earlier this week, it will be hot and hazy.
Daily Isolated storms will be possible Saturday on through the middle of next week.
