INDIANAPOLIS — A strong fall storm system will bring rain and storms to central Indiana, along with the threat for a few strong/severe storms.  You will want to check Live Doppler 13 Radar before and during outdoor activities through Friday evening. Stay weather aware of the potential for damaging winds, heavy rain and hail with a few storms.  A tornado can't be ruled out especially Friday afternoon and evening south and east of Indianapolis.  The steadiest rain and the storm threat will end for high school football on Friday night.

This is the same storm system that brought severe weather and snow out west. We are forecasting much cooler air with clearing skies as the system exits early Saturday.  In fact highs on Saturday will only be in the upper 50s.  At least there will be some sunshine for IU homecoming.

Some of the coolest air of the season arrives Sunday morning, with temperatures forecast in the lower 40s.  Sunday will be sunny and cool with highs in the middle 60s.

A gradual warming trend is on the way for next week.  Highs are forecast in the upper 60s on Monday and near 70 on Tuesday and Wednesday.
