Snow showers continue for some

The first flakes of the season are falling for parts of central Indiana. That threat for snow will linger mainly east through late evening

INDIANAPOLIS — It is a cold and windy day. The 13 Weather Team has been tracking some snow showers today and for most of us, these are the first flakes of the season. With temperatures just enough above freezing and with roads temperatures above freezing, roads are wet.  There will be a concern later this evening, as temperatures fall and the snow continues there will be some slick spots. Temperatures will fall into the 20s overnight.

We are starting to see a bit of the snow sticking from near Anderson south through Rushville and Greensburg. This is where the steadiest snow is falling this afternoon. Here is how Live Doppler 13 Radar looked around 3 p.m.

This area has the best chance for a couple of inches of snow. We will also be tracking a band of lake effect snow coming off Lake Michigan that will bring some potential for accumulations across the northern part of our viewing area from Logansport to Peru to Kokomo, Marion and Elwood. Stay weather aware.

The threat for snow will end on Tuesday.
