INDIANAPOLIS — Much colder air is moving into central Indiana now. Overnight temperatures will fall into the teens with wind chills near zero.
Be prepared for a cold Thursday. Grab the heavy coat, hat and gloves.
Lake effect snow showers are possible across the northern half of the state tomorrow but again any accumulations will be minor. The bigger story on Thursday will be the chill. Afternoon temperatures will only be in the middle 20s. This chill will linger into the weekend and early next week.
Sunshine and highs in the upper 20s are in the Friday forecast after morning lows near 10 degrees. Expect more clouds than sunshine this weekend with highs in the lower 30s on Saturday and the upper 20s on Sunday. This cold weather pattern does support fast moving light snow making weather systems. We will keep you updated on snow chances this weekend and early next week.
