INDIANAPOLIS — Today will be the pick of the holiday weekend as quiet weather keeps sunshine, low humidity, and dry conditions around. Highs today top out in the low 80s.
A warm front will lift through the northern tier of the state on Sunday in the afternoon. This will bring a few scattered rain showers and a few storms to areas mainly north of I-70 between noon and 5 p.m.
The rest of the state will be dry and all rain clears setting up for a dry Sunday evening.
The cold front will then move in for Labor Day on Monday bringing more widespread rain chances for all of Central Indiana, especially during the first part of the day.
The best chance of rain comes early in the morning as the front moves in. Here's 5 a.m.
Scattered showers and storms continue during the morning hours as the front comes through. Most rain will exit the area by lunch time on Monday leaving clouds behind. Temperatures recover to the upper 70s/low 80s behind the front Monday afternoon.
