INDIANAPOLIS — You can definitely feel the wind of change in central Indiana with much colder air in place compared to 24 hours ago. In fact, windchills make it "feel" 20-30° compared to the balmy 50s from Saturday afternoon over central/southern Indiana.
The latest Arctic front is near/south of the Ohio River with sub-freezing temperatures spilling southward in its wake. That will be key overnight with moisture riding over the colder air at the surface to create a period of mixed precipitation.
While it won't be heavy, we're expecting areas of snow and freezing drizzle to create a coating of snow and/or glaze on untreated surfaces later this evening into Monday morning.

This will be enough to make some surfaces slick, either walking to your car or heading to work for the commute. It's our advice to wake up a little earlier than normal to check with 13 Sunrise for updates on potential travel impacts.
A slower commute is likely for those in the path of these areas of light snow and freezing drizzle. Travel with caution tonight and Monday morning.

Precipitation ends west-to-east heading into midday but temperatures struggle to return to 30°. There's a slight snow chance Monday night in southern Indiana before the Arctic high pressure pushes the moisture zone south of the Ohio River for much of the week ahead.

Dry but unseasonably cold in central Indiana into mid-week. This equates to lows in the teens, single-digit windchills, and highs in the 20s to lower 30s.
The airmass modifies by Thursday. After another quick hit of cold Friday, a strengthening southwesterly wind kicks in next weekend to bring warmer-than-average air. Again, travel with caution for the next 18 hours.
