Cooler air has moved into Indiana on the backside of a cold front that brought all that heavy rain Friday.

INDIANAPOLIS — Significantly cooler air is moving in on the backside of a potent cold front that brought all the heavy rain Friday evening. Temperatures will be 15-20° cooler than yesterday.

Grab the jackets if you're headed to the Parke County Covered Bridge Festival. Temperatures drop into the 40s this morning and will only recover into the low 60s this afternoon in western Indiana.

It'll also be rather breezy with northwest wind gusts up to 30 mph at times making it feel even cooler. Jackets and sunglasses are needed today in Bloomington as the Hoosiers host Michigan State for their homecoming game that kicks off at 12 p.m.

Highs will range from the upper 50s to the low 60s across the state today.  That's well below average for this time of year where the normal high is still 66.

The sky remains clear this evening as the sun sets just after 7 p.m. Temperatures will drop into the upper 40s by then. Great bonfire weather!

Temperatures eventually fall  into the low 40s overnight. Outlying locations could see the upper 30s.

We will have more sunshine for Sunday as we see a slight warming trend. After a chilly morning for the Colts tailgate, we'll be in the upper 50s at kickoff with highs in the mid 60s in the afternoon.
