INDIANAPOLIS — After a couple of comfortable and unseasonably cool days, more heat, humidity and rain will return.
It will be a pleasant evening, with temperatures falling into the mid-60s this evening and into the low 60s by morning.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms return Wednesday, with an isolated strong to severe storm possible.

Rain will be likely by mid-morning — if not before.

Humidity will be on the rise, with dewpoints in the upper 60s.

Afternoon highs will be back above average Wednesday, into the mid-80s.

Scattered showers and storms will be around at times, too.

There is a better chance of a severe storm by Wednesday evening, as storms get more organized with the heat and humidity in the atmosphere.

More showers and storms are likely on Thursday.

There is also the possibility of a severe thunderstorm Thursday.

An upper level system will slowly move over central Indiana on Friday. Showers will be around at times on Friday, hindering some of the Carb Day festivities.
