Live Doppler 13 Weather Blog: Quiet, cooler stretch begins

INDIANAPOLIS — We're now on the backside of the potent weather system that brought strong storms to central Indiana yesterday. 

A few lingering rain showers this morning have dissipated and the sky will clear from northwest to southeast through the afternoon.

Sunday should be a great day out at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for Top 12 Qualifying. The sky clears this afternoon with some sunshine. Expect cooler temperatures and way less humidity with highs only in the upper 60s.

We'll see a more quiet stretch of weather through the first part of next week. Partly cloudy and cool overnight with temperatures falling into the upper 40s.

Temperatures remain unseasonably cool Monday with highs near 70 under a partly cloudy sky.

We should have a lot of dry time on Tuesday with highs back in the mid 70s before our next storm system brings showers in late in the day.

Rain and storms will then be likely through Wednesday and into Thursday morning. High temperatures remain in the low to mid 70s through the week.
