INDIANAPOLIS — With the clouds today, it wasn't too hot, but it sure was sticky. It will be a warm and muggy evening, with a chance for a shower or storm.
The focus for storms will begin to shift south later this week. We will include a slight storm chance mainly south on Thursday. It will be another warm and muggy day, with highs in the middle and upper 80s.
If you are ready for a break from the high humidity, it is coming for Friday and the start of the weekend. Friday will be mostly sunny and not as muggy. Morning temperatures will be a bit more comfortable and in the 60s. Afternoon temperatures will be in the middle 80s.
We are tracking higher heat for the weekend, with highs near 90 on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday will be a bit more humid, too. There is a slight chance for a pop-up storm both days, but most of the weekend will be dry.
Scattered storms are in the forecast for early next week.
