INDIANAPOLIS — Several waves of rain and heavy thunderstorms are impacting central Indiana over the next 30 hours.
While a few severe storms remain a low possibility, we continue to believe that heavy rainfall and localized flooding pose a greater risk from what's on radar during this time.
An increase in storm coverage and intensity is noted on Live Doppler 13 Radar at this hour in southwestern Indiana and within a zone that's expected to get 2"-4" or more rainfall. Outside of this region, additional downpours are likely at times, and much of the region will get at least one inch of rain by Friday morning.
Remain "Weather Aware" and monitor radar if you have outdoor plans today and Thursday.
Our weekend weather is looking rather pleasant, but we'll certainly earn it between now and then.
