Live Doppler 13 Weather Blog: Feeling like winter next week with some snow possible

What's not yet known is the track, intensity and speed of a system early next week that could bring some precipitation

INDIANAPOLIS — We hope you had a great Thanksgiving holiday, despite all the clouds around.

Those clouds, by the way, linger around the region on Friday, though we should get peeks of emerging sun.

The passage of a cold front Friday evening brings a stronger push of drier air to push out the overcast and set the stage for much colder temps Saturday in the 20s. Saturday will be sunny and seasonably chilly.

Sunday remains dry, but we will be watching in anticipation of a storm system developing and tracking through the Ohio Valley/Great Lakes Sunday night into Tuesday.

What's not known at this time is the track of this system or its intensity and speed, all of which dictate whether we see little if any snow or we'll need to dust-off the shovels.

A quicker system that's suppressed southeastward would limit snow potential locally.  A slower, stronger storm curving north-northwestward through Ohio would bring higher odds of appreciable snowfall.
