INDIANAPOLIS — There will be some big temperature swings over the next several days.
Forecast highs are back to near 40 degrees on Thursday. You will still need that winter coat, because morning temperatures will be in the upper teens and lower 20s.
A cold front arrives Thursday night and will drop temperatures 20 degrees in a few hours from the lower 40s into the lower 20s from Thursday afternoon into Thursday evening. Temperatures fall into the high single digits and teens by Friday morning. Friday will be cold and breezy with a few flurries possible.
Here is where the next swing comes in. We will go from highs in the 20s on Friday back to near 40 to start the weekend and to near 50 degrees on Sunday.
The first week of February will be mild with 40s and 50s into next week.
