INDIANAPOLIS — We saw the warmest temperatures of the day Sunday morning as metro Indy hit the low-to-mid 40s ahead of a cold front moving through during lunchtime. Temperatures will fall into the 30s Sunday afternoon as rain showers wrap up and skies stay cloudy through the rest of the day.

Any leftover moisture could bring a brief combination of rain and freezing rain as temperatures fall into the mid-to-upper 20s overnight. Slick spots will be possible overnight into Monday morning.

After a light wintry mix early Monday, we'll have a mainly dry day as colder air takes over. Highs will only be near 30. There will be a brief afternoon clearing allowing for a little sunshine.

Another weak wave will bring the chance of a wintry mix to the southern tier of the state late Monday night into early Tuesday.

Then, a more quiet but cold pattern settles in for the week. Tuesday will be the coldest day of the week with morning lows in the teens and highs in the mid 20s.
Temperatures will moderate slightly with highs back in the 30s for Wednesday. Thursday will be the warmest of the week with highs in the low 40s.
