KEY WEST, Florida — The southeastern part of the country will be watching the track of hurricane Isaias closely.
Winds are near 75 mph, and the category 1 hurricane is forecast to move toward the Bahamas on Saturday and toward southeast Florida Saturday night into early Sunday.
Some weakening is possible, but the southeastern part of the country will be dealing with the threat for heavy rain, at least tropical storm force winds and storm surge.
This tropical system will move toward the Carolinas early next week and then up the East Coast.
