It will be an active 24-36 hours of weather for central Indiana. Monday night will be soggy and foggy. The fog will reduce visibility and the rain may cause more lowland flooding. Most of central Indiana is under a flood watch through Tuesday morning, with the threat for an addtional 1-1.5" of rain. Remember our ground is saturated and any additional heavy rain will quickly cause standing water.
The heaviest rain will end early Tuesday. There will still be a few lingering showers. A cold front will move through the area during the afternoon hours, with a few areas of heavy rain possible. It will also start to get windy. Behind the front, it will be get colder and there will be some snow showers. Here is the timeline for rain to snow with FutureTrak13.
Snowfall potential is on the low side, but a quick inch or so will be just enough for some slick roads Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
