INDIANAPOLIS — One more hazy day will be in store today, as the upper-level winds continue to turn out of the north.


The wildfires continue to burn in Canada. The red areas depict the plumes of fire, with layers of moderate smoke over the Great Lakes.


With the northerly wind flow aloft, smoke is pulled down from the Canadian wildfires into the Great Lakes.


An Air Quality Alert is in effect through this evening. More light smoke will push in from north to south today in Indiana.


It will be a warm and comfortable day, with low humidity and highs in the upper 70s.


Skies will still be hazy this evening, with temperatures falling into the mid-50s.
The upper-level winds will shift out of the west on Saturday.


This will cut off the wildfire smoke, and skies will be bluer in the morning. Clouds will increase Saturday afternoon, ahead of the next system. Afternoon highs will climb into the low 80s.


There is a chance of rain early Sunday morning, with temperatures falling into the mid-50s.
Widespread rain will move in by afternoon, if not before.


Steady rain with a few isolated storms are possible. Afternoon highs will climb into the upper 70s.
Rain will taper off Monday morning, with rain totals around a half-inch to one inch. Monday will be windy, with sustained winds of 20 to 25 mph.
