Take precautions from the cold.  Actual low temperatures will be in the range of -3 to 3 degrees.  When it gets this cold, it is a good idea to protect pipes and check on family and friends.  It is also a good idea to remember the safe ways to stay warm in your home.  It will also be too cold for you pets to spend time outside.

It won't be as cold on Thursday, with increasing clouds and a few snow showers later in the day.  A few snow showers are possible early Friday before skies clear again.  This sets us up for another night in the single digits Friday night.  With some sun, highs are in the middle 20s.  Milder air arrives for the end of the weekend and early next week with highs near 40 on Sunday and Monday.
