INDIANAPOLIS — The 13 Weather Team is tracking a couple of cold nights. We are forecasting single digits tonight and near zero if not a few degrees below zero Friday night into early Saturday.

When it gets this cold your family, home and pets need extra attention. Remember to prevent pipes from bursting you can open cabinet doors and let cold water drip from faucets that might be on exterior walls.

There is some sunshine in the forecast for Friday and Saturday, with highs near 20s on Saturday and in the middle 20s on Saturday. Sunday will start dry, but end with a wintry mix of rain, sleet and snow. We will keep you updated because there is a chance for some minor accumulations of sleet and snow by late Sunday night into early Monday.
Next week will be much more mild with several days in the 40s starting on Monday. Expect some sunshine too on Tuesday and Wednesday.
