Big changes are on the way! A strong cold front will put an end to the record heat in central Indiana.
Indianapolis recorded 2 days of 90 plus degree days for 2019. That is the most ever recorded, tied with October of 2007. There have only been two other times where the temperature hit 90 degrees in Indy and that was one time in 1954 and one time in 1951.
The cold front will swing through this afternoon. Most areas will remain dry but the winds will shift from out of the south to out of the northwest later this afternoon. Winds will increase too, gusting around 20 mph.
It will be 12 degrees cool than yesterday but afternoon highs will still be 10 degrees above normal. Highs will climb to near 80°.
It will be partly cloudy this evening with temperatures tumbling to near 50° Friday morning,
Friday will be pleasant and much cooler with highs in the upper 60s!
Saturday will start off chilly, with temperatures falling to 46°! The last time temperatures fell to 46° was May 10th, 2019.
Saturday afternoon will bring pleasant conditions and highs in the mid 70s.
Another cold front will arrive late Saturday night into Sunday, bringing a chance of a few scattered showers Sunday morning.
Sunday afternoon will be mostly sunny and dry with highs in the low 70s.
Next week looks pleasant with highs in the mid to upper 60s. The next chance of rain holds off until Thursday.
