After a brief reminder that it is still winter, temperatures will be climbing this weekend. The sunshine is back as well. Look for temperatures to recover to near 50 this afternoon.
Expect a clear and chilly overnight with low temperatures near freezing. The wind begins to pick up and this will help us warm up even more on Sunday.
Keep in mind we spring forward one hour overnight (2 a.m.) -- so the sun will rise Saturday at 7:08 a.m. and not until 8:06 a.m. Sunday. Sunset Saturday is at 6:44 p.m. but after the time shift, it will go down at 7:45 p.m. Sunday.
It'll be a mostly sunny day again Sunday with a few more clouds at times, but much warmer with gusty south winds up to 30 mph. Highs top out in the low 60s.
Our next chance of rain arrives Monday afternoon with a wet overnight into early Tuesday. Temperatures hold steady in the 50s.
Another batch of rain will be possible Wednesday afternoon. Temperatures remain slightly above average through next week with highs in the low to mid 50s. - Lindsey Monroe
