Snow squalls end but slick spots remain

The snow squalls are over but the slick spots remain in some counties this morning. Slow down and keep your eyes open for icy patches on your way out the door this morning.

The Pacers play the Bulls at 4 p.m. today and that will be when we should see our afternoon high of 34 degrees.

We're still looking at rain or snow showers to increase over central Indiana during the day on New Year's Eve. We're thinking the bulk of precipitation departs just in time for the Indy Car drop on Georgia Street Saturday night.

New Year's day looks cloudy with periods of drizzle and showers. Another warm surge arrives with rain, wind, and possibly thunderstorms Monday. But all signs point toward a renewed surge of colder-than-normal air arriving around the middle of next week.
