INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - The atmosphere has settled down a lot since the showers and thunderstorm rolled in and out of central Indiana Wednesday. The National Weather Service folks will have a better idea of how many tornadoes moved through the state later today as they examine those areas hit last night.

We cannot rule out more rough weather today. While that is a rather low probability, tornadoes could be possible. Heavy rain and lightning remain the most likely threat you'll experience from storms later today.

Showers are possible early on for the Indians game this evening.

More thunderstorms could possibly fire up on Friday around Indiana as our hot, humid, active weather pattern continues.

Rain chances will be lower this weekend as temperatures heat up and high pressure aloft puts a lid on our atmosphere.
