Enjoy this great weather while it lasts, because by the weekend, it will be gone.
This morning is cool but not bitter cold, with temperatures near 40 degrees. We're looking at a real quick warm up into the 50s by lunch and forecast highs are in the lower and middle 60s.
Thursday will be sunny and breezy, with highs near 70 degrees. Highs will be near 70 degrees again on Friday, before a front starts to move through Indiana.
That front includes a storm system that will bring rain and strong winds to central Indiana. Most of this activity will move into Indiana around mid-afternoon and be gone by 10 p.m.
We will be in the warmer part of this system on Friday, but in the colder part by Saturday, when conditions change to cold and windy, with the first snow showers of the season expected. The snowfall might be enough to cover the rooftops and grassy areas in a few locations.
We will stay cold all weekend, with overnight lows in the 20s and daytime highs only near 40 degrees.
