It’s another gorgeous fall day in Indiana and for most of the day, it will stay that way.
Temperatures are just a bit warmer this morning compared to yesterday and our high, despite the cool start, will rise to a high near 80 later today. The average high is 74 degrees.
A weak front to the west has already brought rain to Illinois and storms to Kansas and Missouri complete with hail. That line, if it holds together, will bring us rain later this afternoon, but only look for slight rain chances.
As promised, the weekend looks hot in Indiana. Expect plenty of sunshine, humidity and a real summer feel to the first weekend of autumn. Some of the long-range outlooks taking us into next week call for the beautiful and warm weather to continue into next week.
We have been fielding some questions about the Parke County Covered Bridge Festival but because it’s dates this year are October 11-20, it is still a bit early to call the outlook for that great Indiana event.
