INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — It is warm and if you've been outside already today, just a bit more humid. This is a trend that will take us to near 90 by mid week with only a couple of showers in the picture.

The remnants of Florence will inch in closer to Indiana today. Southeast Indiana has a chance of a few showers from morning into the afternoon, before the system takes a turn back to the east. It could move further west, giving the rest of central Indiana a chance of some rain.

With or without rain, Florence will spill in clouds. It will be a bit cooler too, due to cloud coverage with highs in the low 80s.

Clouds will thin out tonight with temperatures falling into the upper 60s. Tuesday will be mostly cloudy and warm with highs in the mid 80s. It will be hot and humid Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees. We are looking for a pop up thunderstorm Wednesday.

Showers will be possible Friday with highs in the low to mid 80s.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be likely this weekend and it will be cooler too, with highs in the mid to upper 70s.
