(WTHR) — Today will be a weather aware day in Indiana. Although the morning should be fine, be on the lookout for storms to move in by this afternoon.

Storms and rain should ramp up around the noon hour and will stick around until at least midnight. Any of those storms could produce lightning and heavy downpours of rain.

The first two cold fronts this week arrive early Tuesday morning, but it's only a mere wind shift to the west. Otherwise, tomorrow remains very humid and unsettled with scattered downpours and storms. The afternoon rain could be the heaviest, with a half an inch to an inch of rain is possible.

If you're going to the Colts game tonight, be prepared! Rain and thunderstorms could be around.

The second, and more impactful temperatures, as well as the 'Muggy Meter' arrives late tomorrow afternoon. Temperatures in the wake of this front drop to near 60 Wednesday morning, but even cooler mornings arrive Thursday and Friday with lows in the 40s and 50s- a taste of autumn no doubt!

The dry air will deliver plenty of sun Wednesday into Friday afternoon before a new surge of storms hits to start off the weekend. This also marks the transitions to much warmer air too.
