JENNINGS COUNTY, Ind. (WTHR) - The National Weather Service confirms an EF-1 tornado with speeds around 100 mph damaged three homes in Jennings County Thursday night.

Crews also confirm a second EF-1 tornado near Nebraska, Indiana that damaged several trees with 95 mph winds.

No injuries were reported.

Todd Beihle says he was in his garage in North Veron when the tornado came through and ripped it apart.

“And just as soon as I hit the floor, the garage exploded and it knocked the door in on top of me and knocked me down,” said Beihle.

Windows were broken out of cars on his property and a trailer was toppled. Beihle escaped with only a few scrapes.

The storm moved on down the road and hit Debbie Collins home. Fortunately, she was inside her nearby business trailer which was untouched.

“We were absolutely part of a miracle,” said Collins.

No injuries were reported in any of the tornadoes. Insurance adjusters were out Friday helping homeowners with claims.

A survey team is also surveying damage in Decatur County to see if the damage was caused by a tornado.
