WATCH: Fisherman's dog puts RV into reverse, backs it into Texas lake

A professional fisherman got a big surprise while launching his boat into a Texas lake.

Video shows Eric Jackson of Rock Island, Tennessee standing on the back of his RV, trying to release the boat into Sam Rayburn Lake to practice for a fishing tournament. As he works, the vehicle's white reverse lights come on and the RV starts rolling backwards into the water.

He told KBMT-TV his 2-year-old Dalmatian named "Bodi" stepped on the gear shift, putting the RV into reverse and right into the lake.

Jackson jumps off the rear bumper and climbs inside to stop the vehicle, as bystanders rush to help hold the RV up.

"By the time I got my foot on the brake, the back wheels were floating," Jackson said.

A company called YOLOtek captured the ordeal on video and posted it to their Facebook page.
