BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. (WTHR) - A Tennessee woman found it hard to let go of her beer after leading police on a high-speed chase.

The Blount County Sheriff's Department released dashcam video of Monday's incident. The video shows 22-year-old Julia Myers driving away from police, at one point crashing into a ditch and speeding away.

Myers eventually came to a stop and she and her two passengers were ordered out of the car. As she laid down on the ground with her arms out for officers, Myers took one last chug of beer.

She resisted arrest and was forced into a police car.

Officers said they began following Myers after she was spotted speeding in a 45 mph zone. She then increased her speed and allegedly tried hitting two sheriff's deputies head-on.

Myers is charged with more than 10 offenses, including driving while impaired, felony evading arrest, reckless endangerment and aggravated assault. Officials said Myers admitted to drinking and driving, telling police she began drinking an entire fifth of liquor at 9:45 a.m. before switching to beer.
