Warren Central's win streak on the line Friday at Ben Davis

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - The Ben Davis Giants have a little extra bounce in their step this week.

There's bragging rights on the line, and you can tell it's rivalry week.

The Giants lost to Warren Central in the regionals a year ago. The Warriors had a perfect season and won the state title.

At 6 feet, 8 inches, senior Dewand Jones can throw it down.

You can't miss Jones on the court. And he's getting offers from colleges across the country.

But those offers are for football. For now, he's focused on one thing: Beating Warren in basketball.

"I enjoy playing in it. You dream of playing in it. It's my love, not going to lie," Jones said.

Coach Don Carlisle knows all about this annual showdown wih Warren. He helped Ben Davis win back-to-back state tiles in the 90s.

Even he can't downplay how big this is.

"West side against east side," Carlisle said.

It should be fun.
