There were a few showers and storms across central Indiana on Tuesday. Most of us could use some rain, because rain totals are near 2 inches below average for the first 2 weeks of May. There will be the chance for a few showers and storms on Wednesday and Thursday. The best chance will be across the southern part of the state. Afternoon temperatures will be in the lower 80s both days and still about 10 degrees warmer than average. Here is your weather planner for Wednesday.

There is a chance for scattered storms on Friday too, with highs near 80 degrees. The daily rain chance continues this weekend, but we are not forecasting any washouts. This is good news for fast Friday and qualifying weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The higher returns for Saturday and Sunday, with highs in the middle and upper 80s.
