Walmart will soon allow families using SNAP benefits to pay for grocery pickup.

The SNAP payment option will make it easier for more customers to pick up their groceries without leaving their cars.

Walmart said it is the first retailer to offer SNAP payments for online grocery pickup. Customers can select "EBT card" for their payment option when ordering, then provide the card to the associated when their grocery order is delivered to their car.

Walmart plans to have more than 3,000 pickup locations by the end of the year.
