Fans Upset After Rascal Flatts Show Ends Abruptly

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WTHR) — As you scroll through your social media feeds today, you may see a lot of people who were upset about the way the Rascal Flatts concert ended last night.

The band was playing at Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center in Noblesville where our cameras captured the large tour bus still parked outside the venue early Friday morning.

A video sent to WTHR from Bob Roland, a fan who attended the show, captures the moments leading up to the concert's end.

The band tweeted on Friday morning about the incident:

Around 11:30 a.m. on Friday the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office released a statement:

“Last night a safety concern presented itself during the Rascal Flatts’ concert in Indianapolis. Venue staff and local officials followed standard protocols to ensure the safety of guests, the artist and staff. Law enforcement agencies are investigating the matter.”

On Twitter, Eyewitness News found many people upset -- saying the band didn't perform an encore as expected. Now, there's a lot of theories swirling around as to why that happened.

Some are citing security issues, while others are simply upset there was no encore and several popular songs were not played.

A sheriff's office spokesman confirmed that department has an open investigation, but provided no further information.

Live Nation, which operates the venue, had no comment on the situation when Eyewitness News contacted them.
