Video by Massachusetts police department includes tribute to fallen Southport officer

SOUTHPORT, Ind. (WTHR) - It was a more somber lip sync challenge from the Dartmouth, Massachusetts Police Department.

The group was producing a fun video about a week ago, but with the loss of a Massachusetts police officer over the weekend, they decided to change their song.

They chose an Eric Clapton piece, Tears In Heaven, to honor Officer Michael Chesna and all of the men and women in blue who have died in the line of duty.

That includes fallen Southport Police Lieutenant Aaron Allan.

The video included footage of Southport's police chief speaking at Lt. Allan's funeral almost a year ago.

And the Southport department responded on Twitter Thursday, saying "this video means a little more than the others we've seen. Thank you Dartmouth PD for including Aaron in your tribute."
