(WTHR) — A stunning video from the U.S. Coast Guard shows crew members board a vessel they suspected of smuggling drugs.

The video, which is quite dramatic, captures crew members of the Coast Guard Cutter Munro intercept what they called "a self-propelled semi-submersible," WCSH reported.

The Coast Guard shared the video from the drug bust that happened last month in the Eastern Pacific Ocean.

According to the post, more than 39,000 pounds of cocaine and 993 pounds of marijuana were unloaded from the vessel.

Vice President Mike Pence tweeted that the day's offload would result in the prosecution of 55 alleged smugglers.
