Verizon rolls out launch date for 5G network

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Indianapolis was recently named one of the cities Verizon chose to roll out 5G service.

The cell service carrier now has a launch date for the new high speed service. Verizon said 5G will officially be available in Indianapolis beginning Oct. 1.

Verizon customers can get the 5G network for $50, and non-Verizon customers can get it for $70.

For now, the service will be restricted to home internet.

To find out if you're eligible to get 5G, check the website beginning Thursday, Sept. 13 at 8 a.m.
