INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — July 21 marked the 50th anniversary of the day Apollo 11 astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin stepped foot on the moon.

To celebrate the occasion, the United States Postal Service has issued the 1969: Fist Moon Landing Forever stamps.

There are two stamp designs paying tribute to the Apollo 11 teams. One depicts the iconic photo of Aldrin in his spacesuit on the moon, taken by Armstrong. The other features a photograph of the moon taken in 2010 by Gregory H. Revera. It points out the landing site of the "Eagle" spacecraft with a yellow dot.

Antonio Alcalá designed the stamps.
