INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - People from around Indianapolis came together Tuesday for the Indianapolis Urban League's Equal Opportunity Day at the downtown Marriott.

It's the 17th such event. The goal is to get together with people to celebrate and showcase success stories, from students through adults in the workforce.

"If you can see it, then you can be it," said Tony Mason, Indianapolis Urban League president. "If it also helps influence our young people so they can move forward with their lives, then we want to play a role in uplifting not only our clients today, but the spirits and aspirations of those who are joining us in the audience."

Eyewitness News anchor Andrea Morehead was the emcee of Tuesday afternoon's event. The Indianapolis Urban League works with about 15,000 people every year through their various programs.
