UPDATE: Jennings County locates escaped inmate


JENNINGS COUNTY, Ind. (WTHR) - The Jennings County Sheriff's Department says an inmate who escaped from the courthouse has been captured and is back in jail.

Kim Lynn Patton, was taken into custody Saturday and taken back to the Jennings County Jail.

Patton was taken into custody without incident by Sgt. Mike Mowery and Deputy Kyle Lee who were acting on a tip from a citizen.

Patton will now facing additional charges for the escape, along with any accomplices who might have helped him elude law enforcement.

Patton was taken into custody just a little over 24 hours after he escaped on Friday on Friday afternoon.
