TSA opting to use floppy-eared dogs to sniff at airports

(WTHR) — The next time you go through airport security, you may see different dogs.

That's because the TSA is replacing pointy-eared dogs with floppy-eared breeds.

The TSA says floppy-eared dogs have a friendlier look, so people are less likely to try to move away from them.

Passengers apparently feel pointy-eared dogs are more aggressive.

TSA has about 1,200 dogs to screen passengers.

About 70 percent of them have floppy ears.
