TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHR) - Five young Hoosiers are accused of leading a state trooper on a chase, hitting his patrol vehicle in the process.

The trooper saw 19-year-old Megan Coleman driving in Vigo County with an expired license plate, according to a State Police press release. When the trooper checked on the plates, he found the car was also stolen.

Coleman reportedly stopped at first, only to take off again when the trooper got out of his car to come talk to her. The trooper says Coleman also started throwing things out of the car while she led him on the chase. She also hit his patrol car with her own car, before eventually losing control and crashing into a stop sign.

No one was hurt.

Coleman and three others were arrested on various charges: 25-year-old Catie Cheesman, 21-year-old Jonathon Hemmons and a 16-year-old who wasn't identified because they were charged as a juvenile. Harleigh Nicholson, 18, was cited and released. During their search of the vehicle, troopers say they found a small bag of meth.
