Two-vehicle crash causes backups on south side

An SUV and a truck were involved in a crash Thursday morning on the south side.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Two vehicles were involved in a crash Thursday morning on the south side.

A woman driving an SUV was going north on Kildeer Drive and was attempting to turn east onto Southport Road when a truck T-boned the SUV.

The woman was taken to Eskanazi Hospital and is in critical condition. She is expected to make a full recovery. The truck driver is OK.

The two vehicles are still at the scene of the crash. Traffic is blocked going north on Kildeer Drive and turning left onto Southport Road when driving south on Kildeer Drive.

An IMPD officer is directing traffic at the scene.
