MADISON COUNTY (WTHR) - A semi crashed on I-69 in Madison County early Wednesday morning, spilling fuel and closing southbound lanes for hours.
The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. near SR-32 in the area of Chesterfield and Daleville. Authorities say the semi crashed into a guardrail, spilling 100-150 gallons of diesel.
Crews had to shut down the southbound lanes to clean up the spill. Because the area is also a construction zone, the closure lasted from SR-32 all the way to SR-109 / Scatterfield Road, about 8 miles away.
The closure is expected to last until roughly 9:30 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
