INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that resulted in a death Saturday, Nov. 7.
At 8:35 p.m., emergency crews were called to a serious crash in the westbound lanes of I-465 just west of I-65 on the south side of Indianapolis.
When first responders arrived good Samaritans were performing CPR on an adult male.
Police say the wreckage included a pick-up truck and a motorcycle and the debris stretched a significant distance.
The rider of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene, the driver of the pick-up truck was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The motorcyclist was later identified as 52-year-old Tony Parlee.
The investigation into the circumstances of this crash are ongoing.
The westbound lanes of I-465 were restricted and closed at times for three hours while the crash was investigated.
