A winter weather advisory is in effect tonight for a good part of central Indiana. We are forecasting a mix of snow and freezing rain this evening. Watch for some slick roads and allow extra travel time tonight.

Temperatures warm just enough to change the wintry mix to rain around midnight. The rain will be steady at times through sunrise Saturday.

We go from a wintry mix tonight to near 50 by midday Saturday. The early half of Saturday will be damp, breezy and mild. Colder air arrives Saturday afternoon and we will have temperatures drop into the teens as early as 9 or 10 Saturday night.

Sunday morning temperatures will be in the lower teens. Sunday afternoon will be cold too, with highs only in the lower 20s. A few snow showers are possible. It stays cold through early next week, with highs in the 20s on Monday and near 30 on Tuesday. Morning temperatures will be in the teens. Milder air returns the middle of next week.
